Kid's Experiments and Activities

Join us for a day of hands-on fun at the All-Day Kids Experiments and Activities during the Rocket City Weather Festival! From 10 AM to 4 PM, kids of all ages can dive into exciting weather science with a variety of interactive demonstrations and activities. Whether you’re making your own weather instruments, experimenting with wind, or learning how clouds form, there’s something for everyone! Don’t miss out on the fun and discover the wonders of weather in a fun, engaging way! See you there!

Welcome to SWIRLL, a cutting-edge research and teaching facility dedicated to atmospheric and earth science. Don't miss out on all-day tours of its iconic spiral staircase and high bay. This facility fosters collaboration and innovation among faculty, staff, and students. Make sure to get a tour of this fantastic building!

Careers in Meteorology Panel

This year's event will feature an exciting panel discussing careers in meteorology, showcasing an incredible lineup of speakers! We're thrilled to welcome broadcast meteorologist Grace Anello, Chief Meteorologist Danielle Dozier, Christina Amiot from the National Weather Service, CFD Research Scientist Abby McCain, and Dr. Freeman, a professor and researcher at UAH. These experts will share their valuable insights and experiences, offering a unique opportunity to learn about the diverse paths in meteorology.
